For many, the installation of OpenVPN <\/strong>is a very complex process, the generation of certificates, keys, etc. causes difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article I want to introduce you to a script <\/strong><\/a>that literally 5 minutes<\/strong> or a few clicks <\/strong>allows you to install an OpenVPN<\/strong> server on CentOS<\/strong>, Debian <\/strong>or Ubuntu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To install in the console run the next command:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

wget https:\/\/git.io\/vpn -O openvpn-install.sh && bash openvpn-install.sh <\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we are asked to specify the port<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In next step, us ask what DNS <\/strong>to leave, can be to leave as there is or choose for example Google, their and choose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next step is to specify the name of the client<\/strong> (client certificate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, the final question of the installer will be a proposal to press any key<\/strong> to start the installation process of the necessary set of software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press any key\u2026.<\/strong> And the installation process begins. There is a download of software packages by the package Manager depending on Your OS and further generation of keys, certificates and server, client configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the process, the installer will display the final notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which means our server is installed and ready to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, you need to download the client config<\/strong> testvpn .ovpn (name depends on what client name you specified during installation) and use it on client devices (Windows, Android, iOS, MacOS<\/strong>, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is probably all, the process is very easy and does not require special skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
